The Green Energy Option Program enables eligible businesses with at least 100kW consumption in the past 12 months to choose their renewable energy supplier.
The Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) is a Department of Energy (DOE) initiative under the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 that enables qualified electricity consumers to source renewable energy as their primary power supply, instead of relying solely on their distribution utility.
Businesses with at least 100 kW monthly energy demand may participate in GEOP by contracting with a licensed supplier like ACEN RES. This allows them to transition to 100% renewable energy without the need for rooftop solar panel installation and business disruption.
