The Green Energy Option Program enables qualified businesses to switch their electricity supply to renewable energy
The Green Energy Option Program (GEOP) is a Department of Energy (DOE) initiative under the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 that enables qualified electricity consumers to source renewable energy as their primary power supply, instead of relying solely on their distribution utility.
Businesses with at least 50kW monthly energy demand may participate in GEOP by contracting with a licensed supplier like ACEN RES. This allows them to transition to 100% renewable energy while maintaining a reliable and structured electricity supply arrangement.
